About our Support Group
The ADHD Parent Support Group was founded by Denise Vanden Engel in 2010 as a result of her own experience; this is her story
Alongside the parent Support Group and with the help of sponsors, supporters, and volunteers Denise was able to generate enough momentum to quickly establish the "Walk 4 Kids' Mental Health" event which is an annual celebration.
Our Mission“To Better the Lives of Children and Families Living with ADHD”
Our VisionWe, parents, strive to change people’s perception around ADHD and Mental Health. This change begins by educating families, which will lead to a positive outcome for the future of our children.
In order to fulfill this vision we have put in place various events, meetings, fundraisers, and other key activities. Some of these activities include Monthly Support Group Meetings, Annual Fall Parent Workshop, the Annual Walk 4 Kids Mental Health Celebration, and the ADHD World Awareness Day event.
Come be a part of our monthly meetings, and learn more about our support, and how you can be a part of the change in mental health. This support is offered to all people in Kingston and the surrounding area. Together we can make these changes possible we believe it takes a community to raise our families. We hope you can be a part of our mission.

Having the label of ADHD will not ruin a child’s life, but, a diagnosis WILL open many more doors to education, medical supports, and accommodations. Your child WILL do well because he has you!!
